is a great rebounder using her athletic ability to grab missed shots from the rim. She scored inside the paint converting on easy layups on offense. Defensively she made her presence felt in the paint hustling to contest opposing players shots affecting the difficulty on them. On a couple possessions she got in some passing lanes in the press they ran on defense resulting in steals.

Alvarado set the tone early showing her versatility and her seeing the floor from the other end of the court was nice. She made a bounce pass in traffic “on the money” in transition from the halfcourt line yet her court vision set her teammates up for easy looks. She even played the passing lane and breaking plays led to points for her squad but her timing and rebounding were also solid

Caught her pre-high school at my All Eyez On Me Individual Showcase and I mentioned how she was able to “make things happen”. Well, she is still showing she can do things to “change the momentum” from both ends of the court and part of that is she’s gotten stronger. She hit the boards on both ends, handled the ball afterward plus she scored around the basket, putbacks included and after contact. She attacked strongly off the dribble to finish, she saw the floor in transition and she did a good job defensively, especially on her timing as she blocked shots
