Mingo still rhymes with “BINGO” and seeing her continue to elevate her game at the Top 80 Basketball HTX spells trouble is a coming. Yeah, I knew she could score multiple ways, but she’s gotten stronger and is overpowering players not only around the basket but off the dribble, and her body control after contact had me smiling. She got the TIMEX award for taking a hard fall and coming back, “takes a licking and keeps on ticking” yet here’s an even bigger tip: she recognizes mismatches, and @playerrimidies had a chance to catch her a while back, see evaluations here

Mingo rhymes with BINGO and I can hear the announcer shouting D1, hopefully you caught that but she continues to grow, a couple of inches shy of “the magic number” and seeing her go against older competition on the PGH Circuit this season was more than enough as she was playing up and was one of, if not the best player each time she stepped on the court so her jumper, yes, scoring off the dribble and finshing after contact, yes. Court vision across the board looks good, so does her rebounding and defense see evaluations here

At just 13, she’s already showing great awareness on the defensive end—consistently in the right spots and embracing the ‘help the helper’ role to create interceptions. She battles every possession on the low block, and since the last time I watched her play, she’s moving noticeably lighter on her feet, making her defensive presence even more effective.

Mingo has grown, both on and off the court, and hearing my colleague @playerrimidies talk about how she had elevated her game, all I can say is that she was correct. Mingo is showing signs of being able to take games over, from either end, yet her pull-up jumper, as well as her ability to finish strongly after contact, helped her team hold on for a victory

The power that Mingo plays with is hard to go unnoticed. In transition she combines speed, strength, and size to go up strong to follow her shot for put back finishes. She is constantly moving on offense, posting or waiting to set screens on the wing. Mingo plays hard on both ends of the floor, diving for loose balls and utilizing her strength to win jump ball scenarios before the whistle is called.

Mingo mixed it up offensively in various ways, starting with her attacking the basket strongly from multiple angles to score, yes after contact included. She reacts well defensively, something you can’t teach, yet so was her “hands and footwork” plus the “drop step”, all #THROWBACK. She also rebounded on both ends

Mingo is a “long and athletic” guard which is also the base and her first step immediately stood out as it helped enable her to get by the defender to score or dish off the dribble. She showed it in the 1 on 1 drill, and also the 5 on 5 games but she also showed she could rebound, handle the ball, and see the floor in transition. Body control was nice, so was her pull-up jumper
