About Nevaeh
Expert Analysis

Sisco is one of several of our ranking newcomers that really made a strong impression at last month’s Sophomore ID Camp. At the event, the 5’10 power forward showcased her ability to fight for positioning down low, skill as a rebounder, and willingness to play with physicality on both ends of the floor. In her freshman season at Grand Rapids, Neveah played a key role in the varsity lineup, averaging more than 7 points and 5 boards per game. Following a strong AAU season with Minnesota Starks , we expect to see Sisco take things up a notch with the Thunderhawks this winter. She comes into the rankings at #105.

Sisco was one of our revelations at last year’s Freshman Showcase. Some 12 months later, Nevaeh’s progress was demonstrated at Sunday’s Sophomore ID Camp which merely reinforced that first impression. The 5’10 forward from Grand Rapids (pictured above) has already become a varsity contributor, averaging better than 7 points per game as a freshman. Sisco brings physicality to the paint, works hard for position and consistently attacks the glass, but there is skill accompanying the strength. She has a notably soft touch around the rim and has begun extending her offense farther from the basket. The effort, vocal presence and competitiveness that initially caught our attention remain intact. Sisco continues to look like an important piece as Thunderhawks try to improve on a 6-win season.

Sisco was a revelation at the Freshman Showcase, immediately impressing with her vocal leadership and effort in 3-on-3 play. When competition moved on to 5-on-5 we saw more of the same. Nevaeh hustled end-to-end, boxed out, and consistently made plays with focus and determination. Her energy and confidence were unusual in a showcase setting where unheralded players tend to blend in early on. With Grand Rapids rebuilding after winning just three games last winter, Sisco looks ready to step in and help the Thunderhawks turn things around.
