Nova has been extremely productive, especially last year being one of the team’s go-to players. She has a balanced attacking game that’ll have her squad in a prime position this year. Woodward’s stock is definitely going up this season.

Nova has been a player that’s come across the radars with her invigorating playstyle. She’s a versatile player that can fill a ton of the team’s needs. The ’27 guard was an underrated freshman, but now with the addition of advanced scoring as well as playmaking, she’s getting the recognition she she’s due. Woodward prances through the lane painlessly and can knock down both midranges plus the 3-point shot. What’s nice is she’s a player that doesn’t require the ball in her hands all the time to generate points, so she can find many ways to affect the game. The ability to get to the line is something that may be overlooked, however it’s vital in her strategy. She’ll gladly get off the ball to find the open area just to receive a great look back from a teammate. Nova also makes others around her better with infectious team-first with qualities that lead to beneficial basketball being played.

Woodward has been a regular double-digit scorer for Westerly all season, but in the last couple of weeks, she’s had impressive showings. One of these games included was a 23-point performance where she scored 17 in the first half. With Nova rising to new heights of play combined with the microwave scoring potential, she should have consideration as one of the better guard talents in RI this year.
