The combination of size, physicality, and presence that Nyla Jones Nyla Jones 6'0" | C Lincoln High | 2028 State NE plays with under the bucket is noteworthy. Jones is a player out of this 2028 Class with the natural build to be dominant in-between the blocks. She knows how to move around and beat her opponents with smart play, compared to trying to outwork them. Don’t get me wrong, Jones works hard but she would rather play smarter than harder and I think we can all respect that. I think Jones could end this Winter off with a bang and carry that momentum into AAU season with her Nebraska Hoops Elite program.

I would love to see Lincoln High play through Nyla Jones Nyla Jones 6'0" | C Lincoln High | 2028 State NE this next season for her Sophomore campaign. Jones is a 6’0 C/PF, that has muscle mass and adaptability. She can move away from the hoop and screen on the outside for a roll but most of the time – she does her best at eating in-between the blocks. She is a consistent rebounder that doesn’t like to take no for an answer. She understands her advantages and where she can bully others, an ability that is only going to grow with time. Jones is a viable option out of this 2028 Class in the Post. She does a lot of good without being a liability and more will see that as she continues to compete at the Varsity level over the next three years.

When you look at the stats that Nyla Jones Nyla Jones 6'0" | C Lincoln High | 2028 State NE is putting up throughout her first 8 games on the AAU floor this season, you notice that she is close to averaging double-digit in rebounds, while also being a handful underneath the basket offensively. Jones was a noteworthy warrior this weekend in Texas to everyone in attendance. She was cleaning up messes on the boards on both ends, showing her physical presence at times, and even stepping out to the perimeter on offense and defense. All in all, she really showed her versatility as a PF/Center. I have a feeling that Jones is going to continue this dominant run with her Nebraska Hoops Elite 17U program. With the other type of prospects they already have on roster, this a deep group to try to contain.

Understanding the track record of Lincoln High the past few years, I would be surprised if Nyla Jones Nyla Jones 6'0" | C Lincoln High | 2028 State NE saw a lot of times on the Varisty floor as a Freshman. How their system works, Freshman seem to be primarily stationed at the Sophomore/JV level if they are good enough right off the bat. Jones is a 6’0 Center, that just finished up a successful AAU season with her Missouri Phenom – Nebraska Hub program and she is looking to keep things rolling. In the small glimpses that I’ve seen, Jones is someone that I would not sleep on. She maybe young but she has promise at the Center/Power Forward position. She just needs to continue to work to unlock that potential.

I really need to see Nyla Jones Nyla Jones 6'0" | C Lincoln High | 2028 State NE compete in a live setting to be able to evaluate her properly but from what I’ve seen from afar, this is someone that might raise some eyebrows this next eight months. Jones is a 6’0 Center with size and prowess in the paint to hold her ground, while competing hard on both sides of the basketball. This AAU season she competed with the Missouri Phenom hub in Nebraska, putting together a solid season of rebounding, rim protecting, and executing underneath the hoop. Jones is going to attempt to take this momentum and channel it into havin a great Winter. If she can see the floor as a Freshman, she is sure to make her mark but if not, she will continue to work on her game so that when her number is called, she will be ready to kill it accordingly.
