About Nyla

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am an aggressive, competitive player who loves attacking the basket with purpose every time I drive. I have deep three-point range and can knock down shots from beyond the arc. On defense, I thrive on pressuring ball handlers and forcing turnovers. Always hunting for steals and making my opponent feel uncomfortable. Playing under pressure brings out the best in me, and I never back down.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a life long member of Girl Scouts of America, Jack and Jill of America.

Singleton impressed me initially at the #GirlsThanksgivingDayHoopfest as she was explosive off the dribble to score, dove for loose balls, and applied “baseline to baseline” heat to create havoc see evaluation here. I caught back up with her in August at an Individual Showcase, and what do I always say I look for? For those who don’t pay attention “on the court” progression, and not only did she create her shot under pressure, she dropped the jumper while being defended, “stop and pop” included, see evaluation here
