Though relatively unknown, the 6-foot Deelstra is a raw athlete with major upside. A natural mover who practically glides across the floor, Deelstra was brought to our attention this summer by our good friend Reggie Becker and made a strong impression despite limited AAU and high-level experience. She has a smooth touch around the rim, can finish with a drop step, and has flashed a mid-range jumper. Her long frame and athleticism make her a strong rim-runner, rebounder, and transition scorer. With added strength and skill refinement, Deelstra has the tools to develop into a scholarship-level player. Her ceiling is high if she commits to consistent competition and growth.
