Olivia was a crafty ball-handler and three-level scorer for Become One 17U, who dazzled at our PGH Michigan State Tournament. In the first game on Sunday, she finished several layups off two feet with confidence, using both hands. Olivia froze her defender with a jab step and shimmied down the baseline to score a layup off the window. She blocked a shot and pushed the ball in top gear to score a transition layup. Olivia drained two triples in the first half and poured in a team-high 18 points. She kept the fire going in the semifinals with 11 first-half points. Olivia showed college range by draining a volleyball line three from the wing and added another deep three up top after securing an offensive rebound. She took a steal the other way for two points, drove hard downhill to earn free throws. Olivia drained multiple shots from the charity stripe with a textbook high-arcing follow-through. She created space from defenders with shifty behind-the-back snaps and crossover combinations. Olivia was a playmaker all weekend and earned All-Tournament Second Team Honors.
