Red and black are the signature colors of Blue Ridge. She received an offer from an in-state university with a similar color scheme – North Greenville. Maralit and her Tigers have played the last couple of seasons in the 4A ranks but are set to return to the 3A realm beginning with the 2026-27 season. Her play helped once again establish Blue Ridge as a team to beat as they went 23-5 with a 10-2 showing in its region. The rising Tigers senior would compete in 27 of Blue Ridge’s 28 contests throughout the 2025-26 campaign while averaging 15.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.5 steals and four assists.

Maralit’s 4A Blue Ridge team – winners of last year’s Battle at the Border – faced a tough draw on the opening day of this year’s tournament – a Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy team that was 8-1 entering Saturday’s play. The Tigers were on the wrong end of a close defeat but Maralit’s 16 points ensured Blue Ridge had a chance to win from start to finish. Maralit’s court vision enables her to make accurate passes to put her teammates in the right spots to make the right plays. She makes many of the right plays as well and a number of those can be from behind the 3-point arc. Maralit had three of the six 3-pointers the Tigers connected on throughout the contest. Defense can lead to offense and good bit of that offense features her attacking the rim and finishing at the cup.
