Expert Analysis

Parc is a player I’d really like to see at the Expo because of the unique strengths she brings to the court. In the past, she’s been recognized for her athleticism, versatility, and ability to impact the game in multiple ways, and those are exactly the qualities that make her such an intriguing prospect. On top of that, she’s a strong shooter, which makes her an offensive threat that defenses can’t ignore. She has the tools to contribute on both ends—whether it’s defending, rebounding, knocking down shots, or finding ways to score—and an event like the Expo would be the perfect stage for her to show just how much she has developed. Having Parc in the gym would not only highlight her growth but also make for some great competition.

Parc had a huge season for Grand Blanc, and that confidence has carried into the gym this spring with Michigan Storm Elite 17U. The team faced tough matchups in Hamilton last weekend, and when I watched game film, she was one of the guards who stepped up under adversity to give the team a spark with her perimeter shooting and ball-handling against pressure. At the Cagers Invitational, Parc was locked in–she made the defense pay with many 3-pointers and knocked down clutch outside shots in key moments. Parc dished out strong passes to teammates and attacked defenders with her dribble.

Parc joined the MHSAA record books when she erupted for 10 3s against Lapeer last week. Parc scored 37 points (10/12 3 PT) with 5 assists, 3 rebounds, and 7 steals. Her 10 3s are the 2nd most in a game by anyone in D1 history. Parc added 16 points with 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Grand Blanc won both games, defeating Midland Dow 53-42 and Lapeer 63-19. Parc ended the week with 53 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, 9 steals, and only 3 turnovers. She averages 21.6 points per game and has become the Bobcats’ go-to scorer.

Parc led the way offensively for the Bobcats during a win against Flint Carman Ainsworth with 29 points last week. She had another productive day at the Laker MLK Classic, scoring 18 points. Parc drove hard to the basket and converted a difficult layup off the glass. She hit four triples from different spots around the arc and knocked down free throws from the charity stripe.

Parc had her sites locked in from long-distance at the Swartz Creek Showcase on Saturday. She used quick crossover combo dribbles and footwork to create space from defenders to drive, dish, and shoot. Parc drilled four triples including a filthy step back 3 in transition. She scored full speed layups exploding by defenders off the dribble, secured rebounds, and created steals on defense. Parc led the Bobcats with 20 points and her well-rounded performance earned All-Showcase First Team Honors.

Parc was the perfect complement to Chelsea last season and she will need to take another step forward to spark the team on both ends. Parc is a dangerous pull-up shooter in the mid-range and from the perimeter. She uses her quickness to create steals and pressure opposing ball-handlers. Parc sees the floor very well and creates open shots for teammates with her passes. I anticipate Parc to break out this season, lead on both ends of the court, and perform at an All-Conference level this season.

Liggins had an exceptional summer of AAU basketball. Her strong high school play carried over to her grassroots season. She is an athletic, shifty guard who showed off her athleticism by getting multiple blocks on taller players while keeping her body in control. She is quick, getting down the floor in a flash to score transition buckets.

Liggins can be found at The Clash playing for Rice Basketball. She was a key piece of a historic Grand Blanc run to a state championship game. Liggins carries a ton of upside in her already very talented skill set. She brings a ton of energy on both ends of the floor. Liggins is dangerous with the ball, as she can pick speed and change speeds with both quickness and smoothness.

Liggins helped her Grand Blanc team to a memorable championship game run. The best part is, she’s just getting started, Liggins could see the ball in her hands a ton next season, and over grassroots season you’ll see that’s a good thing. She can handle the ball with both speed and quickness. Liggins is an energy waterbug type of player that seems to be everywhere.
