Peyton led McBain to a top-three ranking, a 20-0 record, and a Highland Conference championship (14-0). She was described by Head Coach Tim O’Malley as the team’s best player and earned an All-Conference First Team selection for her performance this year. Running the point, Peyton averaged 13 points (49% 2FG%, 30% 3FG%, 83% FT%), four assists, four rebounds, three steals, and one block per game. She poured in 47 threes for the Ramblers this season and was highly praised by her head coach. Peyton’s impact on the culture, influence, leadership by example, verbal communication, work ethic, dedication to improving her craft during practice, and habitual consistency of excellence in character were all mentioned. Coach O’Malley states, “Peyton stands out as an exceptional leader, an inspiring role model, and a team captain whose presence has a lasting and meaningful impact. Her leadership is not merely a title; it is demonstrated consistently through behavior, attitude, and influence—qualities that set her apart from her peers and shape the team culture in deep and positive ways.” From what I’ve seen of Peyton on the court and descriptive details about Peyton’s character from Coach O’Malley, I can say without a doubt that Mid-Michigan is adding an All-Conference caliber person and player to their 2026 team.

Peyton has length, athleticism, and basketball skills that make her a prototypical next-level guard prospect. She can light it up from three-point range and accelerate in a hurry to create transition points. Peyton was impressive in front of our scouts at travel tournaments and team camps. During the Midwest Summer Classic, Peyton attacked off the dribble and cut backdoor to score inside. She knocked down outside shots, distributed the rock, and played effective defense. Peyton moved up in our latest rankings update and she looks ready to have a huge senior season for a dangerous McBain team.

Peyton, a standout for McBain, made a big impression at the Ferris Team Camp with her athleticism and length. She played with great energy, pushing the pace in transition and showing off her court vision with sharp, unselfish passing. Peyton made smart decisions with the ball and was a threat from deep, knocking down multiple threes—including a deep one from the top of the key. Defensively, she was a problem at the top of her team’s press, racking up deflections and steals. She turned defense into offense, taking several of those steals coast to coast for easy buckets.

Peyton looked ready for a breakout day at the MBA Mother’s Day Classic. She was off to a great start before an ankle injury ended her day prematurely. Peyton scored a baseline drive layup with her left hand off two and made a strong lob-entry pass. She finished a tough left-handed layup through a foul on her last play. Peyton has length and abilities that make her a versatile prospect. She’s a combo wing/guard I’m eager to see again.

Strong shooter with range, can play either guard spot on the floor. Good handles, moves well without the ball to get into position to score. She has some good length to her which allows her to defend the passing lanes and create havoc. Knocked down a couple of big shots early in her game to keep her team close. Sees the floor well on the break, can make the outlet.

Grant was a player being talked about after The Main Event in Grand Rapids. She REAL ly showed a ton of natural point guard skill and upside to go with it. The REAL 16u guard was a leader with the ball in her hands. Grant controlled the pace of the game and kept her turnover numbers very low. She was very comfortable as a primary ball handler and starting the offense with the pass. All that being said, Grant definitely scored efficiently when the opportunity arose.

Grant entered the rankings on the most recent update and if she’s at the PGH Michigan Top 250 you’ll see exactly why. She’s an excellent shooter with range extending beyond the 3 point line. Grant is so dangerous when she catches the ball in rhythm and fires up a triple. She does a great job getting set and squared after the catch. Grant also isn’t afraid use her court vision to swing the ball to an open teammate for an even better look.
