Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I’m a versatile forward who prioritizes smart decision-making, solid defense, and keeping everyone involved. I love to set up my teammates to score and work together on both ends of the court. I am also fairly quick for my size. As a defender, I will chase down someone the full length of the court to block a shot or steal the ball, and I am able to quickly tie up loose balls and force turnovers.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am a very focused and driven person both on and off the court, taking a lot of pride in my academics and athletics. While I am fairly quiet and introverted in my everyday life, I have no problem speaking up when communicating and encouraging my teammates on the court.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I have received academic achievement and art awards throughout my years in school. I was also invited to be a member of National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) in middle school. Outside of school, I have found a lot of enjoyment in volunteering with my former AAU program to help with practices and games for the 10-14U teams.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Participating in sports since 1st grade has helped in strengthening my teamwork, leadership skills, and ability to think and make decisions quickly.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
My biggest challenge so far has been transferring schools in 9th grade. It was a little nerve wracking and scary going from a familiar building, teachers, and fellow students and friends. But I think I have handled the transition well, I am doing well in school academically, athletically, and socially, and I still maintain relationships with my old classmates.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a college that not only has an excellent academic reputation, but also a strong, close-knit basketball and athletic community and culture. I hope to find a program that I can really contribute to and be a part of, not just blend into the background.
