Johnson put up 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists in the victory. She also grabbed 2 offensive rebounds and hit 2 3-pointers. Her best offensive play was on the interior, and not so much with her ability to finish around the rim, but with her ability to draw fouls.

Johnson was nearly impossible to stop on her drives. The defense was forced to foul her and she capitalized on the numerous trips to the free throw line she had. She shot 8/9 from the charity stripe, with several free throws coming late in the game to help Izard County come away with the title win.

Johnson can hit shots from outside and score in the paint, with one of her best games in this postseason being against Quitman, where she had 22 points. She went to the free throw line multiple times that night, going 14/16. Another strength in Johnson’s game is her play on the defensive end.

This senior has a nose for the ball. Whether she has to poke it free or dive on it, she is all over the basketball. She hustles hard on every possession, which translates well for rebounding.

She has had multiple 20+ scoring outings this season, including a 30-point effort against Sloan-Hendrix. Johnson is at her best when firing from long range. She has a quick release and she is tough to slow down when she has it going.

On the other side of the ball, Johnson is capable of disrupting the passing lanes and stripping ball-handlers whenever she has the chance.

Johnson is capable of big scoring outings on any given night. She had 30 points in a victory over Sloan-Hendrix last Tuesday, which propelled her team into first place in the 2A-2. She also had a 28-point outing in a 60-50 win over Southside Batesville, and then a 19-point game earlier this month against Cotter.

Johnson is an excellent 3-point shooter, as she has a quick release and a high-arching jumper. She hit 2 triples against Mammoth Spring on the 25th, going along with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. In addition to being able to score in the paint and from the perimeter, she can provide on the defensive end and on the glass.
