Rachel Schany Rachel Schany 5'11" | PF Emmetsburg | 2026 IA is doing everything she can to ensure the Emmetsburg E-Hawks have a shot at the State Tournament in 2026. The senior forward is sparkling in class 2A this season and has helped pace Emmetsburg to a big nine-game win streak. Schany is averaging 21.6 PPG, 8.5 RPG, 1.6A APG, 3 SPG and 2 BPG in a monster senior year, and is doing so at a very efficient rate (56% FG). The two-time High Jump State Champ can finish on their side of the rim, runs the floor with ease and will step out for the occasional three if you give her too much room. Add in her defensive numbers and you have one MVP type year — keep your sights on Schany as post-season approaches for Emmetsburg.

Rachel Schany Rachel Schany 5'11" | PF Emmetsburg | 2026 IA is the life force this Winter for Emmetsburg as they sit with an 11-1 record so far. Schany is a 5’11 Forward, that is currently averaging 23 PPG and 9.5 RPG throughout their first 12 games. This is not a small sample size. We are half way through this Winter and Schany has killed it in every contest so far. She has been working with her back to the basket and holding serve against everyone that tries to physically dominate her in any way. If other teams want to come in and win against this crew, they need to stop Schany in the middle to start. If not, it’s going to be a long night as you can tell.

Emmetsburg moved to 11-6 on Saturday with their win over South O’Brien, 52-20. The E-Hawks came into the weekend and took care of business with their usual suspect leading the group. The usual suspect that I am referring to is Rachel Schany Rachel Schany 5'11" | PF Emmetsburg | 2026 IA . Schany, a 5’11 PF, showed off in this contest as to why she is someone that everyone in the state should know about. She finished with 23 points (9-16), 13 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 steals, and 3 blocks. This showing really displayed her versatility from all levels offensively. Not to mention, defensively, where she stayed in front of whoever she was guarding, while being someone that could jump over from help-side if a fellow teammate gets beaten. All in all, this was a good showing, that the E-Hawks should be able to build off of moving forward.
