Expert Analysis

Reagan had some monster games throughout the weekend as she boasted her microwave scoring prowess. Against Wood Elite Select on Saturday she went for 19 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal with a pair of threes. Sunday morning after waiting in the cold for the gym to be unlocked, Reagan supplied her own heat as she finished with 19 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals, this time drilling four threes as she tried to spark a comeback. Mulligan saved the best for last in a 54-44 win piling in 29 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Although the smallest on the floor, Reagan has a knack for getting to her spots and finding open spaces in the defense whether it be from well beyond the three-point line or with her crafty off-platform floaters and runners which can catch defenders out of position whilst drawing fouls.

Reagan came out of the gate showing her excellent ability to shot the ball, something she has a well earned reputation for in the state. It was the first time I saw her be the primary ball handler for the majority of a game against very good competition and I thought for the most part she did a very good job. Mulligan is deceptively quick, and was able to get around Newton defenders and did a nice job distributing the ball to her teammates. Mulligan minimized turnovers and made good decision for the most part. She is not just a catch and shoot player from the wing (something she is great at!), but a very capable combo/point guard for River Ridge.

Lethal off-platform shooter inside the arc and a long-bomber from distance. Hits tough shots; runners, floaters and leaners. Deep three-point range off the catch and off the dribble. Bounciness with the ball allows her to dart different directions. Flag football star.

Rea Rea set the tone, the sparkplug lifting River Ridge past Christian Heritage after a sluggish start. Mulligan was active in the press collecting turnovers. An elite three-point shooter with deep range, Mulligan scored from the perimeter but also showed elusiveness downhill with floaters. Reagan is a jolt of energy who can swing momentum quickly. She had 16 points, 5 assists and 3 steals in a 65-38 win.

Reagan had a breakout performance in Week 2, splashing five threes en route to a league-high 27 points. Mulligan is a burner from beyond the arc. The undersized guard is a live-wire when it comes to scoring. She scores on pull-up threes, catch-and-shoot looks and is crafty off the bounce, often getting to runners and floaters.

Has a bounce in her step when changing directions. Is a lethal three-point shooter with deep range. Willing to pull-up off the dribble. Shoots over top of screens. Uses her low center of gravity to turn corners to get into the paint for floaters.

Mulligan showed her ability to knock down the 3 ball but a can shoot the mid-range shot consistently. Great handles which allowed her to allude the defense. Great defender.
