‘s elite shooting ability made her a focal point for opposing defenses this season. With increased attention and defensive pressure, she continued to perform.
She moves exceptionally well without the ball, finds open space, and remains a threat at all times. Beyond her scoring, she defends, competes, and elevates her teammates. Johnston’s presence stretches the floor and creates opportunities for everyone around her.

Johnston’s quick release made her a constant scoring threat, and as a First Team All-League guard, she delivered consistently for Mark Morris. A true three-level scorer, her shot always looked pure coming out of her hands, and she complemented that with strong drives and off-ball movement. Defensively, Johnston’s quick hands and athleticism fueled transition opportunities as she frequently racked up steals. High-IQ and highly skilled, she was both a leader and a difference-maker on both ends.

She is crafty with the ball in her hands, being able to score from all 3 level and keep defenders on their toes. Her head stays up when dribble and attacking so she can kick it out to open teammates if needed. Her shot is consistent, especially from the mid range area. She hustles hard for rebounds, being able to pull down more than 7/8 a night.

I am adding the Central 2B guard to the list because of how well she shot it percentage wise. She made 50 at 43%, which is the 2nd highest of accuracy that I saw in researching this article. Leaves no doubt that she should be in the discussion as one of the better shooters in Southwest Washington, and no doubt in Class 2B.
