Rhionnna Matthews was tied last Winter in APG throughout the state of Nebraska at 6.4, tying Elkhorn North star – Britt Prince. Matthews is going to return this Winter knowing how well she did a season ago and wanting to put together an even better year this time around. She is someone that embodies what it means to be a game organizer and a leader on a few different fronts but most importantly – she makes everyone else around her better and that ability is one that most don’t have at the high school level. As long as she plays to her strengths and continues to grind, she is going to be someone we mention multiple times over this upcoming season.

Fiery little point guard with a nose for the ball. She plays the game hard and with intensity. Moves well with the ball and distributes the ball well, she is a good pic and pop player. Fun to watch and so active!!

One of the states premier Assist leaders is Rhionna Matthews Rhionna Matthews 5'2" | PG Omaha Roncalli Catholic | 2025 NE of Roncalli Catholic High School. Matthews is a 5’6 Point Guard, that is quick and calculated in every move she makes. Throughout her teams 11 games this winter, she is averaging 5.6 APG, while only turning the ball over around half of that amount. This leads not only to having one of the highest APG averages throughout the state but also one of the highest Assists total for the season. Matthews checks a lot of boxes as a prospect. She averages high numbers in every statical category you can think of each contest, while being a leader coming down the floor with the ball. Looking forward, the future is bright for both Matthews and her Roncalli Catholic team. They have had a nice season up until this point but they are far from satisfied.
