The rising junior as an interesting piece. Yevrah is big and strong, but she’s not just a bruiser. Mack moves well and is aggressive. She doesn’t think twice about catching and attacking from the high post and wing. Mack can draw fouls on drives and is a competitive rebounder. She has the makings of becoming a double-double candidate nightly for the Cougars.

One of the first 17U contests of the day would see Britt Basketball Academy 17U match up against TAC Elite 17U. Playing up in class as a 2028, the standout for 5A Newnan was ready to go despite participating in one of the first games of Saturday’s action. Mack thrives as either at the four or as a traditional big but displays the ball-handling skills more commonly found in guards. She is an effective interior scorer who plays with her back to the basket and understands the art of being aggressive as a point-getter. Mack averaged 8.4 points, six rebounds and 1.2 blocks per contest this past season with the Cougars.

Yevrah Mack was a shot blocking machine making tough blocks from all over the court quickly closing out around the perimeter and getting inside to protect the basket. She was battling for rebounds on both ends of the court. She was doing well getting around a post player opponent trying to grab the steal and prevent her from scoring. She was aggressive in the paint drawing fouls and even making shots through contact. Her moves on the block were fun to watch with her quick feet. She could attack the basket herself using a spin move to create the opening and score off the glass. She was strong grabbing rebounds on both ends.

Steady interior presence rebounds, blocks shots and can score with a hook shot. Helps control the paint. Has a nice ceiling to strive toward. Should be a double-double threat over the course of her career.
