brings a lot to the guard position, one of her abilities being able to become a game-breaking scorer.
In a game against Oak Ridge High School this season, Hunt scored 17 points in eight minutes. And while Hunt can score at a high level, she is unselfish and has other winning traits. A couple of them are her rebounding and wing defense.
Hunt’s effort is noticeable when she plays, as it looks like she never takes her foot off the gas. This is both prevalent in making her a menace on the boards in some games and a steal machine. In a game against West Ridge High School, where Hunt had 12 boards, and in a game against Sullivan East High School, she had four steals.

, is one scrappy player on defense.
Hunt showed last year for Bearden High School that she is a high-level guard defender. She is great at reading passing lanes to get steals and also getting steals off an opponent’s dribble. She showed this in a game against Karns High School, where she had three steals.
On offense, Hunt is an extremely great passer and conductor at the guard position. She can pass accurately with both hands and is on time with her passes. She hits her teammates as soon as they break open. Hunt also excels at leading her team’s offense because of her ability to dribble under pressure. If a defender plays up on her, she is able to play through it with ease. On top of this, Hunt also brings a reliable three-point shot to the table.

Powder keg type player. Has an extra gear on drives, complete with the ability to change pace. Gets off the floor quickly and with great hang time for finishes at the rim. Looked to score a lot, which she was efficient at. But also had a great athletic kickout when the defense collapsed, leading to an open three for a teammate.

Hunt is one of the hardest working athletes on the court at all times! She stepped up huge during the championship game, finishing with 17 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals. If you want a do-it-all guard, you want Riley! She continues to be a relentless athlete on both ends of the court. She’s confident on the floor, and it shows in her decision making. I love her decisiveness and her leadership! If you don’t have Riley on your radar, I’ll reiterate to put her down ASAP!

I’ve spoken about Hunt numerous times, and I still think that she is one of the most underrated ’27s in our area. She’s extremely tough and she stays after it on both sides of the court. Riley is one of the most impactful players on the TN Flight team. Honestly, I love watching this team compete. Riley is one of the fierce competitor’s that never stops working. She continues to crash the boards better than most guards. She averaged 7 points, 5.5 rebounds, and numerous steals during the live event. She picked up numerous offensive boards. She did her part in helping Coach Vez’s team go undefeated, 4-0 this past weekend.

Hunt comes off the bench for a tough Bearden team and provides them excellent minutes! Connaughton once said, “When I come off the bench, I have the intensity and that effort… Because we can play a role in any game.” Riley knows her time will come to be a starter. Whether this athlete is a starter or not, she will always play a role in any game. I love her defensive effort. I love her mid-range game. Do not be surprised when we mention her as one of the best mid-range athletes in the coming years! Hunt is only a sophomore and she is more determined than most! Keep your eyes on this one!

I really liked what I saw from Hunt. She understands her role in Bearden’s system, and plays it to perfection. She really competes defensively. Offensively, if you leave her open she’s gonna knock it down, and if you closeout poorly she’s going to attack the rim and make a play for a teammate. I came away really impressed by her.
