She has a good smooth perimeter shot, out behind the arc. Not afraid to let it fly. Moves well and knows where to be on the floor and also is able to cut. Nice defender on ball, put some pressure on you. She stays so focused, she missed big free throws in the fourth quarter, then came back and nailed a big three and two free throws to ice it!

She does a lot of things that don’t show up on the stat sheet, including the little things that makes her team successful. With the ball, she can push the tempo and lead the break. Good court vision and distributes the ball well. Very good on-ball defender and anticipates the game well. If you miss out on her, it is your own fault. She can play somewhere.

Defensively, Rivers is a huge factor for her teams success. She does a great job anticipating the game in advance, and she has seen her game grow from her freshman season into her upcoming senior year. She’s a floor leader with excellent court vision and the ability to make a huge difference for her team. Solid with both hands, good handles and a frame that can handle the physical play.

She stood out to me in the game I saw, and I look forward to seeing her again when I make the trip to the Valley View Shootout next weekend. Outstanding guard with an excellent skill set. She returns from last year as a strong leader. Moves well without the ball, active defender and can create mistakes. Solid on the boards and is a great distributor of the ball.
