Each time I watch her play, Keating never fails to make her presence felt. The 5’6 guard is a bulldog on defense whose strength and tenacity make for a tough, highly physical matchup. Both scrappy and hard working, Rose is relentless on the boards. On the other end of the floor, the Minneapolis Southwest sophomore is effective at multiple positions, is unselfish with the ball, and isn’t afraid to draw contact on her way to the rim. Last winter Keating made her mark across the stat sheet, averaging 9.2 points, 4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 2.7 steals for the Lakers. We suspect her role is only going to grow from here.

Keating is a strong, stocky guard who plays with poise and confidence beyond her years. Already in the Lakers’ varsity rotation as an 8th grader, Rose made significant strides this summer with the Metro Stars . She handles pressure well, sees the floor, and makes unselfish, smart decisions. Not the quickest horse in the race, but sturdy and composed, she projects as a solid point guard who distributes, defends, and leads. Look for Keating to have a big year at Minneapolis Southwest.
