Rosebella stood out right away with her athleticism and relentless effort on the glass by consistently making her presence felt. She elevated over the top of everyone for rebounds and finished plays at the rim with authority. One of the most impressive moments of the weekend came on a tip-in, as Rosebella tracked the miss off the rim and converted it which perfectly showcased the energy and effort she brings to every possession.

‘s play as of late, I think she will be the biggest factor in how the Lady Tigers perform in the postseason.
Onyango is a double-double menace. Against Conway recently, she put up 22 points, 16 rebounds, and 1 block, which may very well be her best performance in a conference game this year. However, she has had double-digit rebounding games against other opponents, including North Little Rock (5 points, 18 rebounds, 2 blocks), Jonesboro (9 points, 15 rebounds), and Greenwood (13 points, 11 rebounds).
Honestly, her play on the defensive end has been even more impressive and possibly more impactful. She has been racking up both steals and blocks, which is very impressive for a center. Against Bryant, she swatted 6 shots and collected 3 steals. In addition to her 15 rebounds against Jonesboro, Onyango also recorded 3 steals and 3 blocks, which is the same as what she did in a January contest against Cabot.

has proven to be one of the most influential bigs in the state, and the stats are unbelievable, especially for a first-time starter.

last season when I was the play-by-play commentator for Central basketball. I could tell she had a lot of potential and she showed flashes of stardom every night. So far this season, she is showing proof of superstardom after moving up 15 spots.
Onyango is so much more comfortable with the ball in her hands this year. She can drive to the basket with ease, take on contact, and finish through traffic. Something I also wanted to see more from her last year was improvement on her outside shot. Clearly, she had the same idea, because against Fort Smith Northside, she drained a couple of threes off the catch en route to a 16-point, 5-rebound, 3-steal performance.
She is also a dominant rebounder. Against Mills in November, Onyango logged a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds, going along with a block and a steal. The 6-footer had a similar performance in the season opener against Marion, where she logged 8 points, 15 rebounds, and a block.
I’m really glad to see how much

has grown in her game, and in such little time. A player improving that much in such a short amount of time is a great sign, and every college in the region should be offering her.

was the backup center for the Little Rock Central Lady Tigers this past season, but she will be looking for an expanded role in 2025-26.
Central graduated 4 starters, including their starting small forward, power forward, and center, so they will need to rely more on Onyango’s length this year.
Onyango showed off a variety of skills as a sophomore, asserting herself as an incredible shot-blocker, rebounder, and interior scorer. She also showed flashes of perimeter skills. Onyango was confident shooting from the mid-range and three, and was comfortable bringing the ball up the floor.
I am curious how much

improves heading into her junior season. #60 is too low for her, and once she becomes the Tigers’ starting center and one of the top centers in the 6A Central, it will make sense why she deserves a spot in the top 40 of the class.

. In all of the conference games I have seen this season, I continue to be impressed by this sophomore.
Onyango is Central’s backup center, but she makes more plays on a nightly basis than most team’s starting centers. Onyango averages about 5 points and 4 rebounds a night, while also averaging about 0.8 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.8 blocks.
The sophomore is consistent with her play inside. She is a solid finisher and has great hands, ready to catch every pass that comes her way. Even on the rare occasions where Onyango is missing shots, she is not getting outrebounded. She uses her length and athleticism to dominate the glass, while also using it to block and contest shots at the other end.

is going to be a star soon. She is expected to be Central’s starting center next season, so she is a player to keep an eye out for in the future.
P.S. She also has some guard ability, so more reason to watch out for this future star.
