Expert Analysis
Jeremy Brooks | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Jacobi scored the second highest total amount of points in a single game for the 2025-2026 high school season so far the other night when she registered 47 against Durant High School on the road. This performance is not shocking for someone of Jacobi’s skill level, size, and the competition level but that is still a very impressive number. Especially considering that the other team only scored 35 in total from the other side of things. Jacobi dominated this game in every facet. She rebounded non-stop on both ends, she scored at Will from every position, and she left it all out on the hardwood. There has been one other prospect that scored over 50 in a single contest this Winter but other than that, this is the highest amount we have seen through out the state thus far.

was dominant across the board vs Maquoketa Valley. Despite getting faceguarded on the perimeter and double-teamed in the post, Jacobi picked her spots well and didn’t look rushed with her decision-making. The Wildcats packed the paint when Rowan had the ball and she adjusted accordingly with a few nice pull-ups in the lane. When she did get a deep seal, there wasn’t much defenders could do — Rowan used her pivot well in traffic and converted with finesse. She finished the night 6/10 on her shots inside the perimeter and scored 23 points overall. She was also efficient at the line, going 8/10. And rebounds? Jacobi had it covered — she hauled in 15.

was going to have a hard time adapting at South Dakota next season but I don’t think that is the case after watching her the past few months. Jacobi has that natural size that everyone loves to work with and her athletic ability while going towards the bucket is no joke. At times it seems like she floats and it’s eye-opening when you see that happen from someone with her height. She will need to really work at getting down the court at a high rate every single possession but other than that, I could see her having a lot of success right off the bat if she comes in motivated like she should. At say that Jacobi has been a difference maker on the floor for Springville this Winter would be an understatement. She has been holding it down in all facets of the game and that’s what you want to see out of someone with her capabilities.

. Jacobi is a South Daokota WBB commit and a heck of an athlete at her position. Jacobi isn’t just tall at 6’2, she is very athletic and very intelligent when it comes to situational awareness within this game. She has a higher motor than most, always producing in the paint on both offense and defense. In her first showing off the season, Jacobi helped out Springville with 27 Points & 13 Rebounds, along with a few blocks, steals, & even an assist or two. Jacobi is in a prime position to put together another memorable year in the 1A Class. She should be in the conversation for POTY in that Class but we will just have to wait and see what she can put together over the next six months for her last go around at the high school level.

competes on the 1A floor for high school ball so some might not know what she can bring to the floor as a competitor. Jacobi is a D1 committed prospect for a reason. She is a 6’2 and she moves like a guard in most facets of the game. Her mixture of size and athletic ability is second-to-none throughout the state of Iowa and I’m sure her numbers will reflect that once again this Winter. Jacobi was a top dawg put of her 2026 Class when it came to scoring and rebounding the ball last season. She will have the chance to do the same this Winter for her Senior season with the competition level she will play. She should average a double-double throughout their season as long as she is motivated. This is a player that kills her competition because of the basics. She boxes out, scores consistently, rebounds hards, defends like her life depends on it, and she just happened to be taller than everyone else around her. That mix of things will play to her favor. Now we just have to see how it all plays out.

play, the more that I like her potential at the next level. Jacobi does what she is asked to do by her coaching staff. Sometimes that is to dominate with her physically in the post, other times it’s to run the floor at a high rate for buckets in transition instead. It’s really whatever you ask and that is going to help her translate to the next level at South Dakota. If she can be a versatile playmaker between the 4-5 position, like we saw this past weekend, she is going to like how things go with the Coyotes in the near future.

this season out of Springville High School. 23 points, 13 rebounds, and 4 assists per game was the recipe for success so far this Winter and they are hoping to keep that rolling in Des Moines. Jacobi, a 6’2 PF and South Dakota Women’s Basketball commit, is a handful near the paint with her height, physicality, and willingness to mix it up with anyone at any given time. When in the half court setting, Jacobi is a threat to make smaller defenders pay under the hoop with her strong moves on either side of the rim. Defensively, she not only rebounds. She is a presence in the middle that the opposing team always has to worry about. If they don’t know where she is and don’t account for her, she will have a great chance to altering the shot or recording a block. Her size and wingspan are the real deal so people have to pay attention. It’ll be fun to see what Jacobi can do at the next level but she still has a year before that time comes so I’m sure she is focused on the here and now more than anything else.

You usually don’t have a D1 player at the 1A or 2A levels throughout Iowa. When you do, you know. In this case, we are talking about

of Springville High School. Jacobi is a 6’2 PF with touch, coordination, balance, physicality, and a ton of future potential as it pertains to this game of Basketball. On every court that Jacobi steps on, she is one of the tallest, if not thee talent. This helps her and her team in almost every possible situation. She can defend the rim as a protector, she will rebound over most on both sides of the ball, she is a very tough matchup in 1v1 situations with her back to the basket, and she is willing to do whatever is necessary to help out the teammates around her. I’m not sure if Jacobi will start early on at South Dakota. She still has two years of Varsity ball left at Springville. If she can show her full capabilities in that time, who knows?

of Springville High School is our latest prospect to commit out of the state of Iowa to the D1 level and I’m excited to see what her future holds with the Coyotes once she gets there. Jacobi is considered a 6’2 Forward, with the mixture of coordination, touch, and savvy-ness to make a difference on any court that she is competing on. For her next two years, the Coyotes will be in touch, visiting Jacobi on the regular in Iowa. This upcoming Winter, she will compete to her fullest ability and as long as her coaching staff can put her in favorable positions, then she should continue to yield in positive results on a consistent basis.

is a prospect out of the 2026 Class in Iowa, that has been on the rise since the beginning of the Summer. Jacobi is a 6’2 PF, that has recently committed to the University of South Dakota to continue on with her basketball journey following her high school career. Up until this point, Jacobi has been underrated throughout her state but that is all starting to change. Something she has worked relentlessly to accomplish. This Winter at Springville High School, she should put up some of the best numbers in the state once again. Last Winter she averaged a monster double-double stat line and it wouldn’t surprise me if she did something similar once again.
