Carter and her Friends Central assembling made history this past season in the Keystone State as the Phoenix pulled off a 62-54 victory over state power Westtown to win its first ever PAISAA championship. Her journey is even more remarkable when considering she returned from injury to claim state. The Exodus NYC product is an elite attacker of the rim who understands how to make plays even against multiple defenders. She fuses together expert handles, speed and shiftiness to zoom past defenders en route to the cup. Shot blocking and ball distribution are also noteworthy elements to her skillset. Carter, who was part of Team Minnesota for the Shooting Stars competition, had 17 points and five rebounds in the state game against Westtown.

Ryan is playing for Exodus 17U EYBL this AAU season and already holds full-ride scholarship offers from Duke and TCU. She has elite footwork around the rim, excelling at playing off two feet and pivoting through defenders. A shifty ball handler, she’s difficult to contain off the dribble and finishes well with either hand while playing with patience and control.
