Skyler gets it done in many ways. There’s no hesitation while attacking the rim, she has wonderful vision and Burke also has the fearlessness to take over in critical moments of the game. Getting downhill or setting up for counters moving east-to-west seem to be second nature for her. Opponents just can’t stay in front of the athletic guard; she’s slippery enough to slither past defenders instantly while also being strong enough to be undeterred by contact on her drives. Skyler is showing real promise creating her own shot off the bounce too. As the exciting guard gets more comfortable, there’s no telling the possibilities. She’ll be under close watch all of 2026. Burke could make an even larger leap with prominent play the rest of the way.

A very controlled player that can pose a threat to the defense with her versatile skillset. Burke serves as a trusted secondary facilitator plus she’s quite dangerous off the catch as a shooter. She finishes high on her shot and remains locked in until seeing the ball go through the net. The adjustments she makes on the fly keep the defense on their toes. One aspect of her game that’s came along way is her takes at the rim. Skyler keeps explosiveness deep into the paint and the confidence shows through her crafty finishes to the basket.

Skylar Burke is a tough, physical guard out who makes a big impact playing on the summer circuit with Exodus NYC. , Burke brings a versatile skill set that shows up on both ends of the floor. She’s a true three-level scorer with strong playmaking instincts, able to create offense for herself and her teammates. Whether it’s knocking down a jumper, attacking the rim, or making the extra pass, Burke consistently makes smart, winning plays.
What sets her apart is her ability to control the tempo and make things happen in transition. Defensively, she reads the game well, anticipating passes and turning defense into offense. Her physicality and feel for the game allow her to guard multiple positions and disrupt opposing backcourts.

Two things stood out when I first saw Skyler play at the showcase. Her size for the Guard position is really good. This creates a bunch of mismatches. The second thing that stood out was her shooting. I saw her make multiple threes, whether it be off the dribble, set, or on the move off a screen or cut. She is a pure shooter with a smooth shot. Skyler is a player who can’t be left open. She plays with very high energy and can create her own shot. She did not force anything up, and played well with in the flow of the offense. She is also a versatile defender, that can defend Guards, and Forwards. Skyler looked like a varsity ready player.

A shifty athletic guard who is dangerous. Burke is a major sleeper. Her ability to get downhill north to south was unmatched. Each step she took, she exploded getting to the basket with so much precision and purpose. I bet she could probably get from half court to the rim with only 3 steps. It’s sooo hard to guard because her defender just can’t keep up. In order to get into the lane, Burke uses a nice change of pace into a combo move to break down her defender. She likes the hesitation to freeze her defender and then blow right by them with a lightning first step.. and second and third and just all of them. Burke can also hit from deep off the catch, but I mainly saw her drive off the dribble. She would either go all the way, or read her defender to see if she has the PUJ. Man is that dangerous. On defense, she has active hands which lead to many steals for her. Overall, I think Burke is going to be something special. She already has the foundation to be a great basketball player, and is excelling at such a young age. Her opponents better prepare well, or they’re screwed.
