Ryiah is one of the most explosive athletes at the guard position in the entire state, regardless of class. She is one of the best end-to-end on-ball defenders, and she can nearly control opposing ball-handlers. She is an effective scorer getting to the basket, and she has improved her vision and all-around skill. On a team such as this, she would be great at drawing defense away from teammates, so it would be difficult for opponents to faceguard or double anyone. She averaged 14.6 points, 4.3 assists, and 5.6 steals as a Junior.

Wilson’s quickness is on a whole different level- which makes her defense insanely tough! Her on ball pressure would give me nightmares if she was guarding me! And great things happen anytime the rock is in her hands on transition- very few can catch up to her!

Ryiah is well-known for her defensive prowess, and she was definitely engaged at that end of the floor Sunday morning. However, it was her offensive assertion in transition and in the half-court that stood out to me. She was incredibly aggressive off the bounce, always trying to get into the paint and either collapse the defense or finish inside. There aren’t many guards in Indiana’s 2025 class who can keep up with her athletically. Back to her defense…she can put pressure on the ball all 84-feet, but in the half-court she can almost dictate which way the opposing ball-handler must go.
