Expert Analysis
Nicole Prose | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
McMinnville senior Ryle McManus can run the point, lead the press-break from the backcourt, and hit from three. The 5-foot-5 guard also plays tough defense on the guard bringing up the ball. She stepped up and led McMinnville in scoring with 12 points against top-ten-ranked Jefferson. She helped McMinnville win the Pacific Conference title and earned herself a spot on the All-Conference Second Team her senior year. McManus jumped to No. 66 in the class of 2025 rankings.

McManus has been one of the key players on McMinnville’s path to a 20-3 record, a Pacific Conference title, and #3 in the state. The 5’5 shooting guard is one of the best shooters that I have watched this season, and plays with a relentless motor on the defensive end, giving her opponents constant trouble. Her leadership on the floor for the Grizzlies is obvious. She had a very productive 9-point, 5-assist, and 2-steal game against Century, and she knocked down a whopping five 3-pointers to finish with 17 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists, and 2 steals in the recent game at Liberty. McManus and the Grizzlies are in the hunt for state championship in the coming weeks.
