Gehlen Catholic has been a respectable program of years now. Producing solid players, good numbers, and an overall better than average record. Someone that has helped them in this journey is their Senior CG – Rysaiah Sitzmann Rysaiah Sitzmann 5'9" | CG Gehlen Catholic | 2025 State IA . Sitzmann just ended up committing to Buena Vista to continue her basketball career for at least a few more seasons. For BV, Sitzmann moves around and does a little bit of everything. She is in charge of scoring, rebounding, assisting, playing adequate defense, and being a vocal leader to those around her. If she can keep up the hard-work and continues working on her weaknesses, then she is going to be someone we hear about more and more over these next few months.

In our last Player Rankings Update for the 2025 Class in Iowa, we had Rysaiah Sitzmann Rysaiah Sitzmann 5'9" | CG Gehlen Catholic | 2025 State IA stay within the Top 100, displaying that she is someone that could make some waves at the collegiate level before you know it. Following that update, Sitzmann took a visit and received another offer to compete at the next level from Doane Women’s Basketball out of Nebraska. Doane’s program is one that is on the up and up these past couple of years, as they try to really break through to become a powerful threat within their conference moving into the future. This is not Sitzmann only offer at this time but it’s one of her best in my opinion. It’ll come down to where feels like home but having options is never a bad thing. She just needs to evaluate what she wants out of the college experience and the rest will be history.

Rysaiah Sitzmann Rysaiah Sitzmann 5'9" | CG Gehlen Catholic | 2025 State IA of Gehlen Catholic and Iowa Swarm AAU Basketball is someone that slides into our Top 100 Rankings for the first time out of this 2025 Class because of her side-to-side quickness and versatility. To be a great Combo Guard, you need to be versatile with better than average size ideally so that you can switch everything on defense and that’s what Sitzman is. For Gehlen Catholic, she should lead her team once again this upcoming season. She should come back playing the best basketball of her career and I can’t wait to see what that turns into this next eight months.
