Mathes plays with great energy and never seems out of the action. She defends multiple positions and brings value on that end with her versatility. Offensively, she’s a capable three-level scorer who lets the game come to her and doesn’t force the issue.

Mathes is a “smooth operator” and when you combine her first and last names, you know she’s going to be a HIT as well. Okay, I know it’s Mathis, use your imagination, like visualizing how she goes AFTA the ball relentlessly off the rim, or how she comes from out of nowhere to block shots. She understands how to use her body on both ends and can punish defenders inside the paint, yet seeing her play the passing lane and handle the ball afterward speaks volumes about her upside.e
