Carrasco is the straw that stirs the drink, and her versatility on both ends has always stood out since I dropped the #D1Lock on her in the 4th or 5th grade. She helped lead her team to a state championship last season, and despite her squad dealing with some injuries to start the season, she has shown how much of a leader she is. Yeah, she can control the tempo while being pressured, hit teammates in traffic for buckets as well as drop it from outside, yet she “thinks” the game and her defensive pressure, as well as diving for loose balls, were all nice

Carrasco will be a steal wherever she lands at the next level but her poise under pressure showed me early she was a #D1Lock, I’m talking before her first middle school game. Her court vision is among the best in Texas yet she also wants the shot under pressure and she delivers, a perfect example was her 3-pointer that sealed the victory, well that, as well as her clutch free throws

Carrasco grabbed my attention in 2018 and since she’s a 2026, do the math see evaluation here Although her team hadn’t turned in a roster, I found her dad, and when he told me her name, her initials had me smiling. I mentioned her upside and that, coupled with her being able to do things instinctively in the flow and her poise playing against older players sold me. Those two qualities right there will translate over to whatever next-level program she decides on. She can score in the flow, and take over when needed yet her unselfishness and making the RIGHT decisions have always stood out

Carrasco showed me she was special in the 5th grade and not cracking a smile playing up against older players, she handled the pressure with ease. Fast forward to now, watching her come up with plays to change the momentum is common, the big steal, the defensive stop, or her patterned pull-up jumper is creating some problems yet when you factor in her court vision and ability to run the 1 or 2 efficiently and effectively…

Carrasco had me taking a look back and I remember speaking to her dad about her team not having a roster and I had to find out who her parents were to get her name when she was in the 7th grade. Her dad responded “I think it was earlier than that” and guess what, he was right see evaluation here No, I didn’t call her a #D1Lock in the 5th grade, that came the second or third time I saw her but the poise under pressure and not cracking a smile sold me because I just know things, especially since we have the same initials. I also know that few players can see the floor and thread the needle in transition or in the set with either hand and watching her playing the passing lane and throw a blazing bounce on the money had me leave the game because that dropped the mic. She also scored off the dribble and dropped the long ball, ala “catch and shoot”

Reliable shooter that can score with a hand in her face. Time after time Carrasco changes speed and direction, puts her defender on her hip and attacks the defense. She has an extremely powerful presence coming downhill. Yes she can score, but she also has supreme court vision. Time after time, before her teammates even realize they’re open she finds them for an uncontested deuce.

Carrasco is a player that I knew would be good, yeah I dropped #D1Lock on her in 6th or 7th grade, and not because we have the same initials. Her poise under pressure and wanting the ball down the stretch told me what was coming yet she’s a player who has kept adding more to her game. The jumper is being dropped for deeper, court vision across the board has jumped yet “making those around her better” is one of those things you can’t teach and that’s when you go from good to great

Carrasco continues to show how effective she can be playing either the 1 or the 2 and much of that falls back to what I immediately noticed about her in elementary school, her “poise under pressure”. The pull-up jumper in the set, the stop and pop in transition, both mid to long-range were nice so was her dishing off the dribble or hitting teammates in transition for baskets

Carrasco has always been a player that could perform under pressure. She showed me how poised she was in crunch time in the 6th grade I believe so seeing her put together a flurry of baskets multiple ways to give her squad some breathing room late in the game had me smiling. She came away with a steal, had a good defensive stop yet her pull-up jumper as well as knocking a free throw down was exciting yet she also helped seal it by scoring off the dribble

#6 Carrasco has me sounding like a broken record with this early #D1Lock sightings yet all I know is that she was in elementary school when I first saw her. She was a difference maker even back then by not only scoring but doing things that don’t necessarily show up on the stat sheet but watching her set teammates up for “gimmes” is special, so is her pull-up jumper, which she drops with a hand in her face, along with scoring off the dribble
