Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am a multi-sport athlete who is highly coachable. I am a strong defensive minded player, as I use my athleticism to my advantage in quick transitions and to help with ball movement. Strong defense creates your offense. As a student of the game, I take pride in being a playmaker that sets my teammates along with myself up for success on both ends of the court.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
As a player, my mentality is to always be a teammate before anything else. Although the sport is about having basketball skills, without your teammates there is no chance of succeeding. My mentality is to always be doing everything on the court with a purpose, and with intention. I strive to be a very outgoing person on, and off, of the court.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I was involved in organizations such as NJHS and W.E.B in my middle school years. As I advance into high school, I will be taking part in NPIB and NHS, along with trying out for student council.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I take pride in my leaderships skills and being able to collaborate with others no matter the task at hand. In the past three years, I have completed over 45 hours of community service work for NJHS, striving to help others. I try to make sure I am always finding a way to get out of my comfort zone and continue to progress my qualities as a leader, teammate, and most of all, as a human being.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
During the fall semester of my 8th grade year, I had a traumatic knee injury. During a basketball game, as I was going in for a layup after I landed my knee had completely ruptured. I had torn my patella tendon and fractured the top of my tibia, resulting in surgery in which three screws and staples were placed to restore my knee functionality. After 6 months of rehab, I was fully healed.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a large college that will be able to provide me with strong academics, and a welcoming environment. I am striving to get the chance to play basketball in college at a high level, while competing against tough competition.
