Sammi Santacroce Sammi Santacroce 5'5" | CG Suffield | 2027 State New E (2027) | 5’5 CG | Suffield
Sammi is making some statements early into 2026. She knocked down 7 stifling 3-pointers to end with 23 pts in a 62-45 win over Ethel Walker most recently. She also led the team with 18 in a win over Taft. Santacroce has been a fine shot-making instrument who’s looking to keep up the momentum. Suffield is a scary squad with her operating like this.

Sammi had a strong performance in a win against Taft, showcasing her ability to score and defend at a high level. She gets into her shot quickly, curling off screens and knocking down jumpers, and uses a smooth handle to weave through defenders to the basket. On the defensive end, Sammi moves her feet extremely well on the perimeter, making it difficult for guards to turn the corner, and is effective at stopping and popping for shots off the dribble.

Sammi Santacroce Sammi Santacroce 5'5" | CG Suffield | 2027 State New E (2027) | 5’5 CG | Suffield
Sammi has stepped up bigtime this season. She’s looking marvelous especially from deep this season and she’s also been the ideal secondary playmaker. Her range really opens up the floor which just leads to the positive flow of the offense. Santacroce will also impact the boards positively as a guard. Even though she can play a finesse style on the perimeter, she isn’t afraid to crash the glass in physical way. The heart and confidence she plays with are also crucial elements to mention.

Sammi has been on a scoring tear, pouring in 23 points with four threes in a lopsided win over Rivers and following it up with an eye-popping nine three-pointers against Williston Northampton. She has a lightning-quick release from deep and moves extremely well without the ball, constantly relocating to find open space. Her shooting makes her a true zone breaker, punishing defenses from the wings and corners when they lose track of her.

Sammi Santacroce Sammi Santacroce 5'5" | CG Suffield | 2027 State New E (2027) | 5’5 CG | IBelieve
Sammi is such a fluid attacker that each defender needs to be aware of early on. Her handle in combination with off the dribble scoring allow her to create in just about any possession type. Sammi’s explosiveness from low positions can really help propel her to the next spot. She’s also quite slippery, players guarding her require different tactics to keep her out of the lane. The aggressiveness isn’t entirely expressed on offense though, Santacroce is also a stable defender.

Sammi helped IBelive Elite go 4-0 during the event. She is a skilled Combo Guard. She has good handles and uses her dribble moves efficiently. She uses a hesitation, in and out, crossover over or behind the back dribble to blow by the defense. She was was good in transition pushing the ball and passing the ball up the floor. She had one transition finish for an and 1, with an inside hand finish on the left side. She also hit a few shots from the outside. She has good vision and sees the floor well. On defense she showed her peskiness forcing a steal on ball leading to a layup.
