Sanai Mckenzie-Watson was doing well on the defensive end grabbing rebounds, blocking shots, and getting in the way of passes grabbing steals.  She elevated up and over her opponents for her own shot.  She even did well driving to the basket and making the dish to her teammates for the bucket.  She was constantly drawing fouls with people trying to block her path to the basket.

Recruitment blew up late in the summer. Highly skilled forward with great footwork. Scores with her back to the basket with physicality and can face-up and attack off the bounce. Creates off the dribble with spin moves and is a solid outside shooter with range growing to the three-point line. Has counter moves. D-II priority prospect with D-I upside.

Sanai brings relentless effort every time she steps on the court, but on December 9th she delivered a truly unforgettable performance in her team’s first region game. She posted a remarkable 21 points and 21 rebounds while adding 3 steals and 4 blocks, making the moment even more fitting as she did it all while wearing her number 21 jersey.

A matchup problem on the wing and in the post. McKenzie-Watson attacks with eurosteps, finishes through contact and has a reliable mid-range jumper. She rebounds at her peak and protects the rim. D-II schools have already offered.

At 5-foot-11, Sanai plays even taller. Her length and sturdy build immediately stand out. Despite wearing a large knee brace on her right leg, her mobility remains unaffected. She moves with nimble footwork and displays impressive versatility. Sanai is a physical presence in the paint and a dominant rebounder in traffic, but it’s her finesse and skill on the perimeter that make her special. She attacks from the wing with controlled spin moves, hits mid-range jumpers, and can stretch the defense to the three-point line. In pick and roll sets, she is effective catching on the move and finishing at the rim. Her turnaround jumpers and ability to convert through contact make her a reliable scoring threat.

Very poised as she catches the ball with her back to the basket, pivots to see the basket and makes her move to the cup. She uses her strength to bang, as she is seeking contact and often does a good job drawing fouls to get to the line.

Beautiful turn around jump shot off the low block. She can get to the rack and take the contact to finish. Hard nosed banger of a player. Solid mid range jumper. She has the size and strength and still has time to be molded into an undeniable playmaker.
