X-Factors: Players Who Changed the Game

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Girls Hoops hosted their Southeast Region Finals last weekend in Columbus, Georgia with two days of great competition between teams from across the southeast.  I've been able to cover the 17U division seeing a lot of athletes (even younger than 2027) make the most of these competitions.  Here are some of the X-factors that I've been able to watch.</p> <!-- --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Sanai Mckenzie-Watson was doing well on the defensive end grabbing rebounds, blocking shots, and getting in the way of passes grabbing steals.  She elevated up and over her opponents for her own shot.  She even did well driving to the basket and making the dish to her teammates for the bucket.  She was constantly drawing fouls with people trying to block her path to the basket.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- well being ready for the pass and bucket in transition.  She was drawing fouls with her effective cuts looking for the pass, and she made it count from the free throw line.  She used her wide stance to keep her position on the block protecting the basket on defense and getting into position to get an entry pass on offense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- and dishing to her teammates leading to points for her team.  She battled for rebounds on both ends making sure her team had a chance for the ball.  She had some tough takes to the basket using her the basket using her change of pace moves to get to the rim after losing her defender.  She knew when to pull up for her jumper instead of taking it all the way.  She was an asset getting to the to the rim.  She did well pushing the tempo finding her open teammate as she was hustling up the court making sure her team scores in transition.  She runs the floor well herself finding the open lane
