Butler played huge for GCA! She knocked down the first three in the second quarter. She plays with great energy and provides her team a nice spark! Sarah Beth was in the right place at the right time when her teammate found her under the basket in the 3rd quarter. I loved how she took the hard foul and finished the old-fashioned 3 point play! Sarah also said, “I have ice in my veins too team!” She stepped up and knocked down a timely free throw! She played with so much passion!

Butler was the lone member of Grace (Knoxville) to average over 10 points last year. Team’s knew to load up on her and she still managed to average 11.1 points and his 51 3’s. Natural scorer.

Butler (5’8, PG) is in a unique situation as there is a transformation of talent occurring at Grace (Knoxville). Butler however should be right in as she brings a skill set that fits into any scheme–she can flat out shoot it. I’ve only seen her a few times, but one game she went off for 7 threes, and another she hit 4 threes. Butler, who averaged double digits last season as a freshman, should find many more open looks as defenses can’t load up on her as much as last season.
