Sarai Oman
About Sarai
Expert Analysis
Evan Bell | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Sarai plays with maximum effort, hustle, and fierce competitiveness on the court. She moves well off the ball, cutting to the basket for a catch and finish layup off two feet. She has an extra gear in the open court and good instincts on defense. Sarai anticipated a pass, deflected it, snatched the ball for a steal, and pushed it up the floor with pace using both hands all the way to the rim for the bucket. She doesn’t quit on a play and sprints back to stop transition scoring opportunities. Sarai used a shifty combination of behind-the-back snap crossover dribbles to lose her defender, split the gap, and banked in the floater with a soft touch over the help. She was a two-way difference-maker for Next Play 17U at the PGH Great Lakes Region Finals.

Sarai, an athletic guard for Next Play , made the most of her opportunity playing up at the PGH Michigan State Tournament. She brought energy on both ends, using her quickness to stay in front defensively and her burst to attack the basket. With a sharp crossover, she consistently blew by defenders and got into the paint. She also showed she can stretch the floor, confidently hitting shots from long range to keep defenses honest.

Oman rains threes right from the beginning! She makes it look easy going to the bucket with multiple defenders! She’s everywhere! Great saves to keep the ball in play! Deep three from the top of the key! And another 3! Talented guard to watch!
