About Sariah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My style is defined by relentless, aggressive dominance at both ends of the court. I don’t adhere to a single position, instead using my power inside to punish defenders while keeping them honest with a knockdown midrange jumper—I just take what the defense gives me, but I take it aggressively. Defensively, I embrace the challenge of guarding all 5 positions with an intensity that never waivers.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My personality on the court is pretty straightforward: I'm intense and unyielding. Everything I do is driven by a singular, burning will to win, and I take every matchup and every possession personally. I'm utterly assertive—I demand the ball when I need it and never back down from the toughest defensive assignments.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in the National Honors Society and I am also a competitive dancer.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Playing this aggressively requires absolute trust in my teammates, fostering a demanding yet unified sense of accountability and teamwork both on and off the court. This commitment extends beyond the gym, as I volunteer for every team fundraiser and bonding activity, learning the value of community service and the importance of supporting something bigger than myself.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Jumping into competitive basketball only in my freshman year meant I had to play catch-up fast. The biggest hurdle wasn't the physical grind, but rapidly absorbing the Basketball IQ—the constant film sessions and extra court time were essential just to grasp the nuance of team strategies and defensive rotations that other players learned over years.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m aiming for a Division I college where the academic rigor is just as intense as the top-tier basketball program—I need to be challenged in the classroom and on the court every single day. Ultimately, I'm looking for a university that offers a phenomenal academic environment that will set me up for life, supported by a program that competes for championships and demands my absolute best.
