Staying in the third region, I’m looking for Savannah to have a big Junior campaign for a good Meade County team. Triplett and Riley are a lot alike as both prefer to let it fly from behind the three point line. Savannah is going to have to get more comfortable taking contact but I think she’s more than capable. If she can do that, she’ll get to the free throw line more often than a year ago and boost her scoring numbers just by getting to the line.

Triplett has really made big improvements to her game since the last time I watched her play. Showed an ability to score inside or out and on both ends of the floor. Consistently plays hard, moves to the gaps in the floor, strong cuts, and came up with some good steals by reading the passing lanes. Excellent shooter, but impacts the game in a lot more ways than just knocking down shots.

Triplett may be listed as a power forward, but she really has a lot of guard skills. She can score around the basket, but she’s an excellent outside shooter as well. Her drives to the basket are strong and once she gets more confident in her ability to drive to the hoop, you’re going to see her go to a whole different level, but the ability is already within her. Triplett does a great job of delivering the ball to her teammates and she is on a team that is loaded with talented scorers. She is a strong defender and she uses her length well to come up with steals and deflections. Triplett is definitely a player to watch for.

Her team might’ve been struggling to score in the game I caught, but Triplett was still knocking down 3’s all game long. Another player that seems to improve every time I watch her play, the sophomore sharpshooter was showing off her ability to score at all 3 levels. Not only was she hitting deep shots, but she was also making good drives to the basket and finishing floaters in the paint. She was also getting out into the passing lanes on the defensive end and she was consistently running the floor. Triplett made some nice passes and showed a lot of versatility.

Triplett is an excellent player that in the right role that the Green Waves needs in what is sure to be another special year. Her stats from last season do not reflect her value but what I have seen recently on the PGH Circuit and HS Summer Ball she is poised to break out. Her defense alone, especially in the full court press, is going to to be important. She is very quick, moves her feet very well and has active hands without fouling.
