Kentuckiana Hoops put together their 1st girls camp on Saturday and it brought in a lot of really talented players from all over. While the majority of the participants were from Kentucky, most of the players were ones I had not yet gotten to see play prior to Saturday. Below, we will look at 2024, 2025, and some 2026 standouts from the 2023 Kentuckiana Hoops girls camp. Note: Usually my standout articles do not include every player that participates in the event, but every single player in attendance caught my eye at one point or another, so this will be a series of articles that discuss what stood out to me this weekend.
Class of 2024
Caroline Lucas (5’8 | Guard | Breckinridge County)
Lucas caught everyone’s attention from the start of the camp. The lefty has such a smooth game. Excellent strength and athleticism. Really just continued to show how tough of a player she is all throughout the day and was a standout in every drill and game. She’s going to be a steal at the next level no matter who ends up landing her. Lucas is poised to have a super strong senior year and will definitely be making her case for why she deserves to be considered as the 3rd Region candidate for Miss Kentucky Basketball.
Myranda Perales (5’4 | Guard | Medina Valley – TX)
Perales is extremely quick. Her speed and athleticism allow her to recover defensively even if they get a step on her and also allowed her to get a step on defenders. She has a lot of craftiness in her game from her handles to some of her finishes around the basket. She also showed a ton of toughness by continuing to compete after turning her ankle in a drill.
Class of 2025
Savannah Triplett Savannah Triplett 5'8" | PF Meade County | 2025 State KY (5’8 | Forward | Meade County)
Triplett just keeps adding things to her overall game. She was making a lot of smart plays throughout the day and really was solid from start to finish. She showed that she has very deep range on her shot and can knock them down off the dribble or catch. She applied good pressure defensively and kept her hands active. She also did a great job of creating on her drives, drawing help and making the right pass.
Aubrie Naiser (5’4 | Guard | Allen County Scottsville)
Naiser’s shooting ability was on full display Saturday. The lefty did a great job of getting shots off quickly and with good range. Quick and scored in a variety of ways, including a nice reverse. She did a great job changing speeds to beat her defender and get to the rim as well.
Class of 2026 – Part 1
The following three players are ones I had not gotten to see play much, if at all, prior to Saturday. While the rankings are determined by all of the PGH Kentucky scouts’ feedback, these are definitely three players that I will be pushing to move up in the next rankings update based on what I saw on Saturday.
Maggie Young Maggie Young 5'5" | PG Assumption | 2026 State KY (5’4 | Guard | Assumption)
Young is quick and such a deceiving player. When you look at her, you see a small guard who looks athletic, but that doesn’t even begin to tell the story of what she brings to the court. Shifty handles, smart passes, 3 level scoring. She showed she can get her shot off quickly and with deep range. Made great moves to create space and recognized when to kick to teammates. Was a true difference maker in game scenarios and also was the winner of the shooting contest.
Rowan Radaszewski Rowan Radaszewski 5'11" | SF Breckinridge County | 2026 State KY (5’11 | Forward | Breckinridge County)
Radaszewski’s versatility jumped out to me pretty quickly. The lefty has excellent length and was making a lot happen. She’s got really good form on her shot and can knock down shots with very deep range. Her high release made it hard for defenders to block or alter her shots. She scored inside and out though, finishing well on both sides of the rim. She did a good job on the boards and made some really solid passes throughout the live games.
Kylie Carby Kylie Carby 5'6" | SG Breckinridge County | 2026 State KY (5’6 | Guard | Breckinridge County)
Carby was making smart plays all throughout the day. Did a great job contributing in many different ways. She recognized where the defense was before making her moves to create space from her defender. She can create for teammates or for herself. Ran the floor consistently and made great passes. Had some tough takes and crafty finishes. Showed she’s a good shooter as well.
