About Saylor
Expert Analysis
Steve Quattrocchi | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Saylor has a ton of potential as a shooting guard for a really solid Highlands team. Her shooting numbers should improve this season as she had a weird year last year when she shot the ball better from 3 than she did from 2. With some improved finishing at the rim and a little bit of strength added to help finish through contact, Macke could average 15+ PPG this season.

There seems to have been a Macke in the Highlands athletic program for over a decade now and Saylor is the latest to roam the halls and court for the Bluebirds. Saylor has been a bit of a three point specialist up to now and will need to become more comfortable driving to the rim and finishing through contact. If Saylor can keep improving like she has year over year, this can be a huge season for her.

It seems like Highlands has had a Macke on their boys or girls basketball rosters for a decade or longer and Saylor is the latest hooper in the family to see the court for the Bluebirds. Saylor is a good shooter who has a chance to be a great shooter when she gets clean looks from the perimeter. Highlands is a relatively young team with a very bright future and Saylor is a large piece of the future.

Macke’s SMAC Kentucky Royals 2026 team had an otherwise tough night at the office in its early evening contest against Georgia-based TKO United 2027 3SSB, but Macke still had herself a noteworthy game. Macke led all scorers with 20 points and proved that she can put points on the board in a variety of ways. Those could be either via the 3-point shot or with what she can do from the free throw line. A midrange jump shot is also part of Macke’s overall game and she also can get a bit creative with how she manages to finish at the rim.

Predominantly a shooter at this point in her career, Macke is putting up respectable numbers of 8 points and 3 rebounds per game with shooting splits of 37-32-57 on the season. To take her game to the next level, Saylor needs to become more aggressive off the dribble and attacking the rim and capitalizing on her opportunities at the free throw line.
