Barrett is a scrappy defender who is not afraid to play fairly close to her assignment. This causes opponents to make errors when playing against her. Barrett is also a great help defender. She has great situational awareness and knows when to move over to initiate and try to get a steal or to just initiate a double team. She did this especially well in a contest against Stewarts Creek High School last season, where she had four steals in the contest.

Barrett on offense is a good attacker of the basket. She is able to make contested shots at unideal angles. She also has a euro step she can go to create space in the paint.

This young lady plays with a little edge when she takes the floor. She has nice handles, can shoot the 3-ball consistently, and can get to the rim. She is a selfless player, and anytime she attracts two while attacking, she will kick out and hit the open player for a 3. She is a tough competitor who is willing to go toe to toe with anyone. Solid kid who is going to battle and lead the Lady Stars ball club.

An up-and-coming guard who had a solid day on the floor. She was scrappy on the defensive end and made some clutch 3s from the corner. What I love about her demeanor and attitude is that she is going to give you all she has and is willing to challenge anyone who is in front of her. There were multiple times where she attacked the painted area and finished with an up-and-under move, putting a little English on the ball as it swirled in. She is one of the top dogs for Coach Weakley’s ball club, and I expect her to have a big showing this upcoming season.
