Selia had a fantastic showing for Portland at the Big North Shootout. She was outright dominant in the paint and appears to be their next great forward prospect. Selia is physical, long, already has good footwork, works hard as a rebounder, defends, and protects the rim. She has strong hands and goes up off two feet to score efficiently in traffic. Selia is a prospect who has the potential to keep rising, and she’s headed for a breakout sophomore year.

Selia is clearly going to be a force in the post for Portland. She was dominant at the Big North Shootout. Selia scored several layups in the paint throughout the day. My notebook is full of catch and finishes by #30. She caught passes with strong hands and finished efficiently off two feet. Selia went up strong and beat a double team in the paint using a nice pivot with a soft baby hook release. She sprinted the floor, caught the pass in stride, and finished off two. Selia walled up on the defensive end to block a shot and worked hard for rebounding positioning, then ripped the ball away aggressively for the offensive board. She sealed defenders deep with a strong stance, presented an easy passing target, and used powerful drop steps to score contested layups off two feet. Selia is going to be a matchup problem for opponents this winter.

Selia put together a strong showing for Team Lynx, showcasing her feel for the game and ability to impact plays without needing the ball in her hands. She moved purposefully through the offense, finding open spots and timing her cuts perfectly—one of which led to a smooth finish at the rim. Her shooting touch was on display as she knocked down a clean wing three, adding valuable spacing for her team. On the boards, Selia battled with determination, fighting for rebounds and keeping possessions alive. Her combination of movement, awareness, and effort made her a steady contributor on both ends of the floor.
