Leigha stepped into the spotlight and put up two monster performances. In September, she turned in an impressive First Team All-Showcase outing at the PGH Expo. Leigha followed with an MVP showing at the P2W Headliners Invitiational in October. Leigha stepped outside to hit 3s, beat defenders to the rim off the dribble, and powered through contact to score layups. Her strong rebounding, physicality, fierce competitive drive, and defensive effort stand out every time we see her play. She’s consistently proven her value as a college post.

Leigha is a fierce front-court prospect, and she flexed her muscles big time at the Headliners Invitational. She scored many layups off hard drives to the basket and wasn’t afraid to step outside, knocking down a few triples throughout the day. Leigha handled the ball confidently with both hands and earned many trips to the free-throw line. She won the rebounding battle and impacted the games with her defensive presence. Leigha is primed for a huge Junior season at Portland. She took home an MVP t-shirt and is an All-Showcase First Team selection.

Leigha was expected to be the most dominant forward in the gym, and that’s exactly what she was for Team Liberty. She extended her range to the perimeter, burying a triple up top and from the wing. Leigha attacked gaps relentlessly with her dribble and scored many layups. She switched hands to avoid a defender on one drive and finished with ease. Leigha got to the rim again, drew the help defender, and made the extra pass for an assist. She protected the basket as a shot-blocker, kept her hands active to cause deflections, and anticipated passes to grab multiple steals. Leigha motored down the baseline to score a sweet reverse layup and scored another layup off the dribble using a spin move. She was a rebounding force on both ends, earned many trips to the foul line, and knocked down her free throws. After a First-Team All-Showcase performance at The Expo, Leigha earned MVP honors in her home gym at the Headliners Invitational.

Leigha turned in a PGH Expo First Team All-Showcase performance, which automatically establishes her as a potential MVP candidate going into the Headliners Invitational. Leigha has the qualities a forward needs to play college level basketball–competitive, a high motor, physical, strong, finishes around the basket, rim protector, determined rebounder, and good instincts. She’ll be one of the highest ranked forward prospects in the gym and I’m excited to see her compete on Sunday.

Leigha was a force to be reckoned with for Team 5 at the PGH Expo. You don’t see forwards make outstanding passes, but Leigha threw an absolute dime after securing a rebound. She fired a bounce pass between two defenders to a teammate in stride sprinting ahead in transition for the assist. Leigha maintained excellent defensive positioning and contested shots to force misses without fouling. Leigha pinned defenders with strong seals to score layups and earn trips to the free-throw line. She was a rebounding force on both ends and split defenders with a burst on a hard drive to the basket for a powerful and-one finish. Leigha earned recognition as a Top Performer and separated herself on the court.

Leigha, suiting up for West Michigan Drive on Friday evening at The Smoke, was a force on both ends of the court. Her strength stood out in the paint, where she help her ground and went to work with polished post moves, including a smooth step-through that left defenders off balance. She battled relentlessly on the boards, securing tough rebounds in traffic and making extra efforts for second-chance opportunities. Defensively, she was a wall – altering shots and racking up several blocks with her physicality.
