In only 24 minutes, Lyle put up 11 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block. The senior was stuffing the stat sheet, playing well on both sides of the ball. She went 1/2 from 3-point range and 5/7 from the field, finding a lot of offensive success when attacking the basket.

On the other end, Lyle was playing aggressive on-ball defense. She may have been too aggressive when she was in foul trouble, but she still caused turnovers and forced bad shots. As a unit, De Queen held Pulaski Academy to an abysmal 12.5% from three, and Lyle was a big part of that.

Lyle has already played well this postseason. The senior had 24 points in De Queen’s first round matchup against Pottsville and put up 18 in the semi-final game against Mills.

Lyle makes the game look easy. She can quickly get into the paint and finish amongst the trees while being a major threat from beyond the arch. With her quick release and ability to hit off the bounce and the catch, defenses will have a tough time guarding her. She can also make plays for others.

Her sister Jessie also made some plays, especially from way downtown. I mention her twin because Shalyn plays better with Jessie on the floor with her. The two Arkansas Tech commits help create space on the court and Shalyn was getting anywhere she wanted because of that.

After Shalyn Lyle Shalyn Lyle 5'6" | PG De Queen | 2025 State AR and her sister came over from Nashville High School, it became clear that they would be stars for the Lady Leopards. The Lyle sisters are both committed to Arkansas Tech, but their work with De Queen is not even close to being finished.

Lyle plays with a bit of flare. She can hit teammates with flashy passes either in transition or in the half court, usually hitting them right on the money. When she is not passing, she is usually putting on a scoring clinic. Lyle is a solid shot-creator, being able to use her handle to find a crease in the defense when attacking the basket. She can also take a step back and knock down jumpers, from both outside and inside the 3-point line.
