was one of the most impressive offensive performers at the Prep Girls Hoops Texas Tip-Off, showcasing an elite shooting ability that made her a constant threat every time she touched the ball. The 2027 guard has the confidence and skill to knock down shots from all areas of the floor, whether spotting up beyond the arc, pulling up in transition, or creating her own offense. Her ability to stretch defenses forces opponents to account for her at all times, opening opportunities for both herself and her teammates.
Franklin’s impact extends far beyond her scoring. She is an outstanding communicator on the floor who consistently keeps teammates engaged and organized throughout the game. Her basketball IQ is evident in the way she moves without the basketball, finding open spaces, relocating after passes, and creating quality scoring opportunities through constant movement. She understands how to play within the flow of the offense while still being aggressive when opportunities present themselves.
Defensively, Franklin competes with the same intensity she brings on offense. She plays with an aggressive mindset, applying pressure to opposing guards, disrupting offensive rhythm, and making teams work for every possession. Combined with her court vision, decision-making, and ability to create quality looks for herself and others, Franklin proved to be one of the most complete guards at the event. Her combination of elite shooting, leadership, communication, and defensive toughness makes her a prospect that continues to elevate her stock every time she steps on the floor.

does a great job creating quality looks for herself and her teammates, showing strong court vision and decision-making. She plays with great pace and control, consistently breaking down defenses and finding the open player. When she attacks the lane, her soft touch on the floater is a major weapon—able to glide it over defenders with ease. Shaniah’s ability to facilitate and finish makes her a dynamic playmaker and a steady presence on the floor.

Franklin gave me a glimpse of what she was capable of doing at the PGH Sophomore ID Showcase, see evaluation here, so I am not surprised at her attacking the basket strongly with either hand and finishing after contact, with either hand. Her court vision and defense were solid, and she played the passing lane

Franklin was one of many stars I caught at the PGH Sophomore ID camp who I knew absolutely nothing about, again, Individual Showcases where I’m attending are something you need to be going to. She stood out in both the “3 on 3” as well as the “5 on 5” and when the bright lights came on, she gave me more see evaluation here

Franklin is one of those athletic guards who brought heat on both ends of the court. Her “on the ball” pressure in the “3 on 3” gave me a glimpse of what was coming yet when the “5 on 5” games began, her quick hands got her some steals as she defended baseline to baseline. She also got steals playing the passing lane but her scoring off the dribble showing solid body control after contact stood out, as well as her court vision

Franklin showed some of the best body control on her finishes and with me writing ACRO in CAPS, as in acrobatic, there is no cap about that. She set the defender up nicely to score from multiple angles yet she dished while attacking, as well as in the set. Her “on the ball” pressure also stood out
