was impressive throughout the FABC Live Period and displayed the versatility she is known for. She can shoot the three, score in the midrange, and can also get to the rim. Summer has a strong presence in the paint and rebounds well, and is a sneaky shot blocker. Last season, Summer averaged nearly 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game. Those skills were on display, and Summer was one of the most versatile 2028s in the building.

Shaw showed why she is such a difficult matchup with her combination of length, skill, and feel for the game. One of the highlights of her performance was a smooth spin move to the basket that created space and led to an easy finish. She consistently stayed active around the ball and never gave up on plays. On one possession, she grabbed her own offensive rebound and turned it into a trip to the free throw line by drawing contact. Shaw moved well without the ball and found ways to put herself in scoring position throughout the game. She also showed the ability to pile up points in a hurry when she found a rhythm. It was evident that she carries a much larger offensive responsibility during the high school season compared to travel ball and she handled that role well.

Shaw put together a strong showing this weekend with EGB Silver 16U EYBL and continues to establish herself as a high-upside prospect in Florida’s 2028 class. With an athletic 6′ frame, she consistently took advantage of one-on-one matchups by getting downhill and finishing at the rim with confidence. She also flashed the ability to knock down jumpers which adds another layer to her offensive game that defenders have to respect. On the defensive end, Summer made her presence felt with activity and effort, showing she can impact both sides of the floor. With her combination of size, athleticism, and developing skill set, she’s a name that continues to trend upward.

showed strong flashes of her overall potential despite the loss. The sophomore finished with 9 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 blocks, using her length to impact the game inside. Her versatility, rebounding , and shot-blocking ability stood out, and she consistently battled in then paint. Shaw has jumped into the Top 10 after continued improvement each time we’ve seen her play. Her size, length, and skill made it an easy decision to place her in the top of this 2028 class in Florida. She played very well for a talented 15U Essence team that saw success against some of the best in the country on the EYBL circuit. It’s safe to say she’s one of the best prospects in Pinellas County, Tampa Bay, and all of the Sunshine State, especially after receiving her first D1 offer from George Mason over the summer. St. Pete will be a team to watch this year with some new pieces and the return of Summer after posting averages of 19.2 ppg, 13 rpg, 3.9 bpg, and securing 22 double-doubles in her first year.

Summer is a gamechanger with her long length and ability to score at all 3 levels. A player that once she hits her first shot it’s hard to cool her down. Summer has the length and ability to shoot over most defenders which makes it tough to guard her. Not afraid to put the ball on the floor and attack the basket. Showed her ability to consistently hit the 3 ball during the live period. Look for Summer to have a breakout sophomore campaign.

Shaw helped lead her team into the Platinum bracket this weekend in Chicago. Her length and skill were on display at the 15U level as one of the smoothest players on the floor at all times. She used great ball fakes to fool the defense and then used that space she created to knock down a shot or make an easier pass. In the games I saw, Shaw finished really well in transition using that length and craftiness at the basket.

Shaw is a smart, skilled player who consistently plays the game the right way. She has a smooth offensive skill set—knocking down threes, hitting pull-up jumpers, and finishing through contact at the rim. What sets her apart is her poise; she stays calm with the ball and never lets pressure speed her up. Shaw’s confidence and control make her a steady presence on the floor, and as her game continues to develop, she’s on track to become something special.
