Shea had an outstanding junior season, averaging 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists while shooting 41% from three. She earned First Team All-Division 1, First Team All-Class, and Second Team All-State honors. She does a great job finding space along the perimeter for three-point opportunities. When defenders overplay her shot, she attacks off the dribble with quick moves to get to the rim, where she finishes effectively with either hand.

Kalin is a name to keep under close watch. There isn’t one thing that immediately jumps off the page, but her energy, effort and natural 2-way tendencies have her in these conversations.

Shea is a strong leader for her team, staying vocal on both ends of the floor and from the bench. She has a tight handle and uses solid footwork around the basket to finish through contact. Shea can score from both three and the mid-range, and does a great job keeping her head up while attacking to find open teammates.

17 pts in a recent win, Kalin is looking to help lead North Kingstown on a strong run this season. Her multifaceted skillset along with the synergy she brings to the lineup is compelling. Kalin is such an incredibly valuable asset to the team. Shea is a great connective piece to the team that leads to tons of positive plays. She’s going to be a key element to watch in many games over the competitive stretches of the schedule.

Shea is flatly a winning player that’s one of the better 2-way players in RI. She’s great in the team’s defensive schemes, providing help in quick fashion while still being able to recover back briskly. Kalin also can be a tremendous on ball defender that shows a willingness to stick to players like glue. She can legitimately guard 3-4 positions, a skill not many have. Offensively, Shea has proven that she has an absolute pure shot from range. She’s consistent letting it fly from deep and doesn’t waver in high leverage moments.

Kalin had one of the most surprising performances and the underrated prospect has opened some eyes for sure. Her shooting capacity alone is enough to merit some recognition. In her first game, Shea had 20 pts and 8 reb, shooting 4 monumental 3-pointers. Shea was fearless, showing she could unleash from beyond the arc, disregarding the defenders attempts to contest the shot. Not only a long-range threat though, but Kalin also showed she could grab multiple boards in traffic as a perimeter player. Her knack for nabbing rebounds helped allow BCRI close out well defended possessions. After securing the board she quickly found outlets so they could get out in transition. This performance was certainly worthy of mentioning.
