Mills scored the ball in just about every way possible against the long and athletic defense of Duval Elite . She was in constant motion throughout the game off the ball running defenders ragged and when she did catch the ball her ability to slash and cut to the basket was very impressive. Shelbie is an excellent shooter from deep and she did that as well as she normally does knocking down multiple shots coming off down screens and off the bounce. One play in particular was extremely impressive as she jabbed left, drove right with the ball and hit a one handed floater near the baseline over a much taller defender with a hand in her face. She also through a 3/4 quarter court dart off the balance with one hand that hit Kinner in stride for a beautiful And One play in transition.

She followed that up with a game-high 30 points, scorching the nets again with six threes in a barnburner against Rockcastle County to help her team secure a 72–69 victory.

She leads the Lady Panthers in scoring at 20.7 points per game, shooting 41.5% from three-point range and 80% from the free-throw line. Shelbie is having a superb junior season and is coming off a 24-point performance against Dobyns-Bennett (TN), as her team now sits at 8–3 on the year.

Lead guard with some juice off the dribble. Her strong crossover sets up drives or creates plenty of space to pull up from deep. Looked to be a bit of a gunner, with extreme confidence in her scoring abilities. Having ideal short term memory to keep shooting. Very touch match up for opposing guards. Speed and shooting, it’s a dangerous combo.

I can’t name many athletes that are playing better basketball than Mills! Shelbie continues to shoot the ball at an extremely high clip. She dominated the championship game at the roses drilling in 7 long balls. The fact that she shot 7-8 from 3 point range is a testament to the time that she puts in! Mills holds offers to play at the next level. She recently picked up one from UVA Wise, & she will continue to earn more!

Shelbie brought relentless energy on the defensive end, applying great ball pressure and playing excellent on-ball defense. Shelbie did a good job getting ahead of the defense and had several transition layups throughout the game. She shot the ball with confidence and didn’t hesitate to let it fly when she had an open look from deep. She provided the spark her team needed on offense and I like how fearless she is as a scorer.

Shelbie was very impressive with her ability to stop and pop from distance. Mills knocked down several threes over the course of the day but she got hot in one stretch and was scorching the nets in 5 on 5. Obviously very skilled, Mills makes up for her smaller size with tight ball handling and the ability to knock down shots with a quick release.
