About Shelby

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a perimeter-oriented guard/wing who looks to score, especially from three-point range. I help my team by spacing the floor and taking advantage of scoring opportunities rather than being a ball-dominant playmaker. I also communicate on the defensive end of the court and have a high bb IQ to see the floor.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m in it to win it. I don’t quit. I’m a very bubbly and energetic person and have a positive attitude towards everyone i come across.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m involved in BAC which is boarding admissions council because i’m a boarding student at baylor school in Chattanooga and it welcomes others. I have received many academic awards due to my high grades.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I bring a positive attitude to the team and am also a leader pushing everyone to give their all.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I moved away from home at 14 but this cause me to push myself to become advanced both in the classroom and on the court.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a welcoming atmosphere and a competitive environment that will push me to become the best that i can be.

One must keep an eye out for this skilled guard from the Chattanooga area. Queener is a talented two guard for Baylor – a team that finished its 2025-26 season with a record of 18-11. She played in 17 games this past season for the Red Raiders and her performance at Peach Games Saturday is an indication that number will go up. Queener can effectively operate as either a two guard or at the point. If she corrals an offensive rebound, one can count on Queener turning that into two points. She possesses plenty of speed and quickness and has no problems drawing contact to get to the free throw line.
