Read EvaluationRyan Morgan | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Capelli is a pretty athletic guard who showed toughness and heady play to make a big impact across the board. Used strong pivots inside to get around defenders and get looks at the rim, finished through contact, and was determined yet patient when working in close. Made a ton of hustle plays too, following her own misses in close with quick second jumps and sprinting for good closeouts, even blocking one corner three.

Capelli has shown off a pretty well-rounded game this spring. She has good size, is pretty athletic, and has the desire to get involved in every way she can. She’s just an intuitive player who looks to make the right play. Whether that’s making a tough rebound and looking up the floor for long, quick outlets, running the floor hard to get on the end of breaks, or playing sound team defense, she contributes across the board. She’s also someone who can make plays off the bounce in the half-court, both dishing and scoring the rock.

One of the first things I noticed watching her was the court vision. It was excellent as she continued to make the right decisions from the point guard position. She has good size for a guard and the versatility was on display when she grabbed 26 rebounds in a game earlier in the season. She can shoot it and has great shot mechanics. She gets by the defense and will find the open teammates or finish her own shots. She has big upside and could easily make a case for moving up the rankings in the future.
